Games People Play: Your Cadillac Club Fall Drive Saturday November 10th 9am–2pm
You won’t want to miss this tour of KC’s own heritage and renowned cultural sites. Both our stops are under consideration for 2020 Grand National activities, so we want to get your input on these important venues.
We begin this Saturday’s drive 9am at Rosterie Coffee where we will gather in the parking lot under the DC-3 airplane, and enjoy a morning beverage and snack. At 10am we drive directly to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum where an educational and inspiring display of American history is sure to touch your heart–even if you’re not a baseball fan. After our museum visit, we travel a short distance to the Peachtree Cafe’teria where a fine variety of comfort foods is served cafeteria style. After lunch we parade to the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures adjacent to the campus of UMKC. The museum, and it’s large collection of small things and toys, has earned a well-deserved international reputation. At the museum, we will be broken into two groups for a guided tour. Please use the Contact page of this website to RSVP, or email/call Tom Keegan at 816-561-1361 email@example.com
AACA Annual Car Show Sunday October 7th Proved to be More Humid Than Expected
KC Cadillac Club participation in this annual event has been excellent, however this year’s event was a bit of a wash out! AACA Club liaison Norm reported 35 soggy old buggies attended the show, and still had a great time. Rain has been a common problem plaguing our car events this year. Let’s hope we choose some dryer dates for 2019.
Store Your Car
Of note: Your Classic Ride has space available to store your vehicle. It is an interesting garage which offers 24/365 access to your car, and has a live-in caretaker. You may also bring your tools, and use the facility’s lift to work on your vehicle. All this for the modest sum of $200 per month.
