Abdallah Shrine Jr. Rodeo and Car Cruise Wednesday Evening June 10th
Need a family-friendly evening activity? Rustle up the posse (or the grand kids) and spend the evening of June 10th with your car club friends and some aspiring Junior Rodeo champions 4:30pm at the Johnson Co. fairgrounds 136 E. Washington St. in Gardner KS. Grab a hot dog, and relax as the neighborhood youngsters attempt to wrangle their wooly steeds in the Mutton Busting challenge. The car corral is open to all cars and all clubs, so get there early to secure a good spot.
Spring Drive and June Meeting at Linda Hall Library
Plan to meet 10am in the parking lot of the Linda Hall Library for a tour of one of Kansas City’s jewels, the Linda Hall Library 5109 Cherry St, Kansas City, MO 64110 on the grounds of UMKC. This unique institution houses one of the world’s leading independent science research libraries. The library was established in 1946 with a magnificent act of civic philanthropy from Herbert and Linda Hall who bequeathed $6 million to establish the collection of thousands of scientific and engineering tomes. As well a being a technical resource, the library’s mission includes public education and engagement. To that end, our tour of the facility will focus on a new exhibit exploring the history of science and its impact on history and culture.
After our library tour, we’ll lunch at Winstead’s Steakburgers on the Plaza, then continue to the The Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center. The Center offers eight acres of natural areas with short paved and natural trails through forest, woodland, wetland, and prairie habitats. The area has demonstration beds showcasing how native plants can be used for home landscaping. Indoor, the center’s exhibits focus on Missouri plants and animals.
Caffeine & Chrome at Gateway Classic Cars
Gateway Classic Cars in Olathe has invited the Cadillac Club to exhibit our cars at their facility Saturday June 27th. Early birds plan to meet at 9am 1202 S. Lone Elm Rd. Olathe, KS. This is a popular car show, so you’ll see a nice variety of classics. Also feel free to browse Gateway’s expansive inventory of consignment vehicles. One might catch your eye…
Ensorfest May 9th 2026
The Club has been invited to display our cars at the lovingly maintained Ensor Park and Museum 18995 W 183rd Street Olathe, KS to celebrate Ensor Fest. The festivities begin at noon May 9th. Our lineup of seven Cadillacs and one LaSalle made quite the display on the grounds of the historic home last year. Members took advantage of a guided tour of the house, and also explored Mr. Ensor’s radio room and woodworking shop. We’ll update you as info becomes available.
Club Picnic and Monthly Meeting Saturday July 11th
For the second year, the Club has been invited the spacious home of Debbie and Kevin Thorpe to enjoy our Club Picnic in air-conditioned comfort. Bring your appetite as Kevin has continues to hone his “grill master” skills to perfection using his state-of-the-art equipment. Please bring your award-winning sides, salads, or desserts to accompany the grilled delights. RSVP to veesixteen@sbcglobal.net. Plan to gather at noon 3015 W 84th Place Leawood, KS. 66206.
